The Knob of God?

Yes, you read that right.

There indeed was a Knob of God, another cheating trick of the legendary football player Deigo Armando Maradona.
The Argentine who died in November'2020 after suffering a heart attack at the age of 60, was famous for his incredible agility on the football pitch - and his notoriously bad behaviour off it. As he was heavily involved in the use of narcotics because of his close ties with the Camorra Drug Cartels back in Naples, Italy. He was a cocaine user, as early as 1982.

The documentry 'Deigo Maradona: Rebel. Hero. Hustler. God.' directed by British filmmaker Asif Kapadia had shed light on his links with the Italian mafia who supplied him with cocaine and prostitutes during his time in Napoli. The documentry explores Maradona's ties with the Camorra crime cartels who played a part in getting him hooked on the white powder.

El Diego confirmed everything in an interview with Asif: 'Sunday to Wednesday I was partying on cocaine. I would come high on drugs. When i saw my daughter I would be afraid and lock myself in the bathroom.' He also once said: 'In Napoli, drugs were everywhere. they practically brought them to me on a tray.'

Napoli's then president Corrado Ferlaino admitted to giving players who were about to be tested a small bottle which was filled with drug-free urine - said: 'Probably someone else peed for him'.

El Diego's drug addiction during his playing career would culminate in him being sent home after testing positive for drugs at 1994 World cup - but he had reportedly managed to dodge doping testers successfully for much of his glittering career.

He had learned to dodge drug tests in the lead up to the 1990 World cup. As he was known to have used a fake plastic penis for drug testing which was later given to a Buenos Aires museum. The plastic manhood was filled with ''clean'' urine from an outside source so that Maradona could pass the test.

His first drugs ban came in 1991, banned for 15 months for testing positive for cocaine. Later in the same year, he was given a 14-month suspended sentence after being arrested in Buenos Aires for possessing 500g of cocaine. He was then banned by FIFA for 15 months after testing positive for five variants of ephedrine, a banned substance, ending his international career.

Alas, the fake penis, the size of which is unknown, has now gone missing after it was taken for a countrywide tour in 2003.
